Night Weavers
When are you most productive?
When it comes to detail work, or any repetitive complicated creative tasks that take a good amount of attention and care, I’m most active at night. This is when the majority of my work is done. May it be pottery, crochet, drawing, or updating websites, I’m likely doing it after dark. The drawings above were done over the period of two weeks, at night, while thinking about my own process of working at night. I am in-between two crochet projects currently so I was thinking about weaving, connections, fingertips and finger prints, hooks, and holes. I was also thinking about spiders, spider plants, and twisted relationships. The four stages of this work create a visual narrative when viewed in the sequence that they are numbered. This is the story of the Night Weavers.
